It's Christmas time again and I am going to take a little break from blogging.

the tiny flame of a robin
flickers against the snow

the corridor
was long and dark...
news of your death
closer
with each step

so many
different paths
to choose
raindrops
on the window

she sees
something beautiful in me
I can tell
by the flowers
in her eyes

a leaf falling
a breath briefly held...
tell me
what else
is this life

across the fields
at dawn
morning rolls
the grey wheel
of another day

so deep
and dark
and beautiful...
the stories it could tell
this ink-stained heart
