I couldn't resist a little post to celebrate the arrival of follower No 100.
Welcome to Paper Moon Roseangela James, Poetess.
It is nearly three years since I ventured (with some trepidation) into the world of 'blogging' and what a great three years they have been.
It can be a lonely world for a poet, (even when widely published in print) with little feedback or comment. All that has changed these past three years and what a blessing it has been.
Above and beyond the comments you have left, I have had the pleasure of encountering some of the finest poets in the world. (oh yes you are!)
The way that our words reach out and touch the lives of others is and must remain for the most part a mystery. However to receive a few words or a response poem, from time to time can lift the veil on that mystery just briefly, and for me at least give such a boost, very often just when I need it.
Above all though just knowing you are here, whether you comment or not, is enough.
So I'd like to thank you ALL (1-100) for walking beside me on this poetic road. Long may it continue...
butterflies
whispering to the wind -
who knows
where our words
will lead?

I've been attracted to your words for a while but rarely comment. I think it's hard to come with a decent comment, something that doesn't come off as fluff which I seem to do a lot.
congrats on three years and 100 followers.
have a lovely, lovely day.
Congratulations, Paul. So glad you chose to share your extraordinary poetry with us in your blog. (By the way...I subscribe through Google Reader where I see you have 102 subscribers...a whole new century of followers!)

Lissa, Melissa, Margie & Devika, thank you so much for your kind words.
I have sightly altered this post to acknowledge the importance of 'presence', whether you comment or not.
As ever I am touched by your generosity.
Paul
Really? I was number 100? That is most excellent! This makes me giggle. :)
I am honored to be here and reading your work is a privilege. :) Congratulations!
Congratulations, Paul. Long may your blog continue. Your tanka are essential reading and your name is one of a select few that I look for first when opening a new copy of a journal or anthology. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations, Paul. There's a reason for your many followers: you are our eyes, heart & song.
I am touched by your deep respect for your readers and commenters. It is always a pleasure to read your poems that lead us to this other world full of poetry and stillness...!
