To separate your dream and the singing blackbird I find facinating. A brilliant one-liner, Paul...

Really great, Paul. I like how monostich gives license to do things you can't do in lineated verse. This could actually be a 5-line poem IF such forms permitted the final line/unit of meaning to read: "..."

More to the point: what beautiful, mysterious imagery here.

i have experienced it...the cuckoo singing rather than the blackbird, and would never have composed a poem so beautiful -- a moment of awareness brilliantly composed, Paul :)

Although I don't often say so, I do read and enjoy everything you write Paul.
I would simply be saying the same thing everytime which seems pointless.
That thing would be "How marvellous and how evocative these words are!"

Hey Frank, thank you for your comment. I'm always touched when a poet of your stature 'gets' what I've written.

Lissa, thank you for dropping by... May all your dreams be beautiful.

Nance Marie, what greater compliment can one poet give to another than write a response... That you have written three is a gift, thank you.

Brian, as ever I am humbled by your words. I feel that we are kindred spirits and look forward to journeying with you some more.

Renee, your kind words find a welcome home in me. Thank you.

Devika, you are always so kind. I value your presence here so much. Thank you.

Bazza, you are a real support for me. Just knowing that you are following is a real encouragement. Thank you.
